Anchor re-designed a truck court at an existing warehouse facility to address drainage and pavement quality issues. This 62,000 SF truck court had deteriorated over time, having been designed initially with insufficient asphalt pavement thickness. This led to poor drainage conditions, allowing for further deterioration.
Anchor worked closely with the client to develop a design that considered existing drainage discharge points and stronger concrete pavement, to replace the deteriorating asphalt pavement. Further, as this was an operating distribution center, Anchor developed a phased construction plan to always allow access to at least a portion of the warehouse’s dock doors during construction.
