This site was acquired by the client through a purchase of another waste company. The site was in need of substantial repairs, including the complete replacement of the transfer tunnel and all exterior pavement. Anchor worked with the client to bring value engineering to the tunnel design, including working through challenges related to drainage, high water table, and constraints presented by the existing building conditions.
Anchor Construction also removed and replaced all of the existing exterior pavement which included repairs to the storm drainage system throughout the site. The logistics and phasing of the project were all coordinated closely with the client to allow them to operate as needed throughout the project. Additional project scope included building repairs, fuel island coordination, removal of poor soils, and coordination with new scale installations.
