This project involved the design and construction of a 6-foot-tall containment structure, two 104,000-gallon storage tanks, and a steel canopy. The tanks are used to store leachate; as a result, any leaks or spills are required to be contained. The containment has the potential to hold approximately 134,000 gallons and utilizes water stops at all concrete joints to completely seal the containment. A galvanized steel canopy was erected over the tanks to provide protection from the weather. This project was completed adjacent, but not attached to, an existing building on three sides and a retention pond on the fourth side, which limited access to the site. Anchor managed these challenges with ease, providing an on-time project.
Additional projects at this site included the installation of an air compressor and compressor shelter, adding new door openings and enlarging door openings, installation of well house shelters, and concrete pavement and sidewalk.
