177,000-sf Manufacturing Facility Rebuild

Manufacturing & Production

Wallingford, CT

In 2011, Anchor Construction partnered with a client to turn a derelict 177,241 SF existing building into a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Anchor installed a complete bus duct electrical power system throughout the facility to power hundreds of machines, giving the client flexibility in machine layout. Anchor also installed a completely new HVAC system, modifying and reinforcing the existing building structure to accommodate the improvements. This project also included the complete renovation of the office space and bathrooms, new lighting, polished concrete floors throughout the building, new dock canopy addition, machine pits, thickened foundations, and new underground site utilities. Anchor coordinated the process of moving machines from the existing facility with the client to ensure that there was a smooth start-up process at the new facility.
