In 2013 Anchor Construction was contracted to expand an Elkhart, IN site for a customer by adding a 60,000 SF building with 800 SF of office space. This facility was designed for large chassis fabrication, which included planning for welding, light machining, and paint booths with pits. Anchor worked with the customer to design a building with proper ventilation and heat, considering the frequent opening of overhead doors to move chassis in and out and to maintain safe air standards.
In 2017 Anchor returned to the site to expand the building by an additional 16,000 SF. Both phases of work required proper planning, permitting, and execution of site work to properly control water runoff, parking/staging needs, and transport access.
This was a complete design, permit, and build project, including site clearing, drainage, utilities, lighting, fencing, landscaping, and building.
