Anchor designed and constructed this transfer station for a city municipality. The building features push walls along its entire length on one side and a specially designed dual tipping floor separated by an underground tunnel. This tunnel provides convenient drive-through access for hauling vehicles collecting and transporting waste bound for landfills. One side of the facility is dedicated to waste and the other side to recyclables. The project also included an indoor customer drop-off center.
Anchor Construction worked closely with officials from the city government. Our engineers designed an on-site pond to facilitate the use of native fill, reducing the overall cost to the city by eliminating the cost of purchased fill and hauling.
