Anchor Construction was selected to renovate and expand an existing office building for Industrial Disposal/Republic Services in Louisville, Kentucky. The existing building had been constructed on a former solid waste disposal site, resulting in the failure of the existing floor slab. Anchor Construction designed, permitted, and constructed a complete demolition (including floor slab) and reconstruction of the interior of the building, as well as an addition to the building. The project included designing and constructing various office spaces, including private offices, cubicle spaces, and meeting areas. The project also included the installation of multiple systems to control the migration of subsurface gases.
