Anchor Construction provided design-build services for a project involving the construction of a 5,645-sf modular building. The building was designed to provide additional office space for Republic Services in Fort Wayne, IN, and was the company’s first modular building in the area. Modular buildings are constructed to expand existing office space or to provide office space where there is none. This approach is more cost-effective than building a new office from scratch.
After the concrete foundation with a 4′ crawl space was poured, the building was brought in by eight 12’ x 60’ sections and set with a crane. The on-site finishing work included windows, cabinets, tile showers, and countertops. The building features offices for Dispatch, the Operations Manager, the Division Manager, and Operations Supervisors. Additionally, it has a conference room, a break room with a kitchenette, and locker rooms with shower rooms.
