Anchor has designed and built hazardous materials rooms in various locations across the country to meet the requirements of national fire codes (NFPA 30), local jurisdictions, and insurance companies. As demand increases for hand sanitizer and other flammable liquids, it is necessary to protect a warehouse facility by setting apart the hazardous materials from the rest of the building.
Anchor worked closely with the client, insurance company, and permitting authorities to design, permit, and build these specialty rooms. This included the construction of firewalls, implementation of high-expansion foam fire suppression systems (including a system of air relief louvers and ventilation dampers), application of fire protectant material to ceilings, and installation of fire doors.
